Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services announces the memorial service for Wayne Allen McCarty, Sr., age 76, of Douglas, Ga. who passed away Sunday, June 04, 2023.

Memorial services will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, June 07, 2023 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services.

Mr. McCarty was a native of Douglas, Georgia and was a Music teacher.  He was the son of the late Furney Woodrow McCarty & Naoma Eva Chasteen McCarty and was the husband of the late Connie Rene Simmons McCarty.  He was preceded in death by a brother: Ron McCarty.  Mr. McCarty was a member of the United Church of God.

Survivors include: Sons: Matt McCarty (Ashlyn) of Parrish, Florida, James Ginn (Kristine) of Douglas, Wayne McCarty (Pamela) of Savannah; Brother: Michael McCarty (Judy) of Crawfordville, Florida; Daughter: Malissa Vaughn of Biloxi, Mississippi; Sister-in-law: Judith Adams of Fitzgerald; Brother-in-law: Mike Simmons; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 nieces & 5 nephews also survive.
