Obituary
Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services announces the funeral service for Mr. Richard Jowers, JR. who passed away Monday, July 10, 2023.
Visitation services will be held from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in the chapel of Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services.
Funeral services will be Thursday July 13, 2023 at 4 pm at Harrell Grove Church with Rev. Dewayne Jowers officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Jowers was born in Douglas, Ga. He was the son of the late Richard Jowers & Cheryl Dianne Carver Jowers Miller and was preceded in death by Special Uncle Cotton & Aunt Ethel Davis and Nephew: Raymond Mitchell Jowers JR.
Mr. Jowers served his country with the United States Army. Later in life Mr. Jowers worked and retired as a farmer.
Survivors include: 2 Sons; Richard Justin Jowers (Jennifer) of Snipesville, Ga., Benjamin Cody Jowers (Chelsea) of Snipesville, Ga., 1 Brother; Raymond Jowers of Douglas, Ga., 1 Sister; Kim Jowers Evans (Sam) of Douglas, GA., 2 Grandchildren; Jax and Jimma Jowers of Snipesville, Ga., 1 Aunt; Betty Jean McKinnon of Mora, Ga., 3 Uncles; Paul Jowers of Douglas, Ga., John Allen Jowers of Columbia, Sc., Henry Jowers of Charleston, Sc., 1 Special Son Buckshot Jowers and a host of cousins, nieces & nephews also survive.
Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements for Richard Jowers.
